Environment and Climate Change Canada funds projects that will: 1 / Rehabilitate, improve environmental quality, or raise awareness in northern Quebec and Labrador; 2 / activities that support the recovery of fish and fish habitat. Submit your application by October 31st. Conditions: Please note: proposals must request a minimum EDF funding amount of $500,000.

The Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) provides grants to municipalities for climate change-related capital projects (eg, floods, droughts, GHG reductions, etc.). Applications are accepted throughout the year until January 31, 2020. It is also possible to combine the grant (up to $ 1M) with a loan of up to $ 5M.

Kuwait's only freshwater aquifers (Raudhatain and Umm Al-Aish) were contaminated as a result of the damage and detonation of oil wells during the 1990 Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. Following review of Claims submitted by the State of Kuwait, the United Nations Compensation Commission (UNCC) awarded funding to Kuwait for the remediation of the aquifers.

Manitoba Environment Industries Association (MEIA) extended the Call for Papers deadline for panel presentations and speakers for the Western Canada Cleantech Innovation Forum,Winnipeg, November 29-30, 2017. Submit your application before the May, 15th. The Forum will consist of plenary sessions, thematic conferences and presentations of clean technology entrepreneurs to investors.
