Presentation of the working groups
Écotech Québec supports the ecosystem in order to accelerate the deployment of cleantechnologies. The organization also acts as a spokesperson with decision-makers to promote the establishment of conditions conducive to their adoption.
In this context, Écotech Québec leads thematic workshops bringing together experts and industry players around major strategic issues.
Objectives
The projects aim to:
- Identify the priority issues of the ecosystem
- Propose and validate concrete solutions
- Feed the watch on key themes
- Define strategic orientations to submit to the Secretariat and the Board of Directors of Écotech Québec

Regulatory and fiscal framework
- Influence public decision-makers for an environment favorable to the development of the sector
- Accompany the evolution of the regulatory, political and fiscal framework
- Ensure the strategic positioning of cleantechnologies
- Encourage tax incentives for R&D and commercialization
- Propose improvements to the regulatory framework
Skills and talents
- Supporting companies in addressing workforce issues
- Establish a portrait of the sector’s workforce
- Develop actions to facilitate recruitment, retention and training
Financing
- Ensure a financing chain adapted to the needs of businesses
- Strengthen the performance of the financing ecosystem
- Promote networking between entrepreneurs and investors
Research and innovation
- Increase the networking between innovation actors
- Encourage ecodesign, certification and linkages with enabling technologies
- Develop new approaches with incubators, accelerators and startups
Commercialization and exports
- Promote the adoption of cleantechnologies in Québec and internationally
- Contribute to positioning Québec as a leader in cleantech
- Accompany the internationalization of companies
